INSM participated in the NCII New York Summit 2026, held on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, at the offices of Google in New York City. The hybrid event brought together global leaders, policymakers, technology companies, survivor advocates, and civil society organizations to address the growing challenge of Non-Consensual Intimate Image (NCII) abuse and emerging online adult harms.

the summit provided a platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue on how governments, digital platforms, and civil society can strengthen collective responses to image-based abuse online.

The agenda included a series of discussions and panels focusing on key priorities such as legal and policy frameworks, platform responsibilities and safety-by-design, and victim support and response infrastructure. The programme also featured a powerful survivor testimony, highlighting the real-world impact of NCII abuse and the urgent need for coordinated action.

Summit Programme included:

Panel 1, Legal and Policy Frameworks – From Commitments to Enforcement

Panel 2, Platform Responsibility – Safety by Design

Panel 3, Victim Support and Response Infrastructure

Participants explored how stronger legislation, improved platform accountability, and better support systems for victims can help combat the spread of non-consensual intimate images and other forms of online exploitation.

INSM took part in the summit as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting safer digital spaces and supporting international cooperation to combat online abuse. INSM is also one of the trusted local partners supporting NCII initiatives in Iraq, working with international partners and major technology companies to strengthen protection mechanisms, reporting systems, and victim support related to image-based abuse through our Digital Emergency Helpdesk

INSM’s participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting international cooperation, policy dialogue, and practical solutions aimed at creating safer digital environments and protecting individuals from online harm. The summit also provided an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders and exchange expertise on strengthening global responses to NCII abuse.

Building on the momentum of previous summits, the NCII New York Summit 2026 reinforced the importance of collaboration between governments, technology companies, and civil society organizations to address evolving online threats and ensure better protection for victims worldwide.
